Welcome to Restore the Story CIC. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of tickets and guidebooks from us. By booking a tour or purchasing a guidebook, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our Services

We provide:

  • Guided tours
  • Printed guidebooks to accompany tours or as standalone purchases

Guidebooks may be:

  • Posted to you (when purchased without a tour), or
  • Collected in person on the day of your tour (when purchased with a tour ticket)

3. Bookings & Payments

  • All bookings are made through our website.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • Once payment is received, you will receive confirmation by email.
  • Please bring your booking confirmation, receipt, or purchase details with you on the day of the tour as proof of purchase (either printed or on your phone).
  • It is your responsibility to ensure your contact details are correct at the time of booking.

4. Tour Participation & Conduct

By booking a tour, you agree that:

  • You attend at your own risk.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you are physically fit enough to participate.
  • You must wear suitable clothing and footwear appropriate for the activity and weather conditions.
  • You must follow the guide’s instructions at all times for your own safety and the safety of others.
  • We reserve the right to refuse participation or remove anyone who behaves unsafely or disruptively, without refund.

5. Children & Young People

  • Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
  • Tours are not recommended for children under 12 years old.
  • No child may attend alone.

6. Weather & Tour Changes

Tours may be affected by weather or unforeseen circumstances.

If a tour must be cancelled by us due to safety or operational reasons:

  • You will be contacted as soon as possible.
  • You will be offered a rescheduled date.
  • If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued.

7. Cancellations & Refunds (Customer)

If you need to cancel your booking:

  • Please contact us as soon as possible.
  • We will aim to reschedule your tour where possible.
  • Refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

8. Guidebooks & Delivery

Guidebook Only (no tour)

  • Guidebooks will be sent by post.
  • Delivery is UK only.
  • Estimated delivery time: 5–7 working days (unless otherwise stated).

Guidebook with Tour

  • Guidebooks will be available for collection on the day of your tour.

We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services once items have been dispatched.


9. Photography & Media

  • Guests are welcome to take photographs unless otherwise stated for specific sites.
  • Some locations may restrict photography.
  • We may take photos or videos during tours for marketing and promotional purposes.
  • If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform your guide before or during the tour.

10. Liability

Restore the Story CIC holds public liability insurance. However:

  • Participation in tours is at your own risk.
  • We are not responsible for injury, loss, or damage resulting from failure to follow instructions or from unsuitable clothing or footwear.
  • We do not accept liability for personal belongings lost or damaged during tours.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Intellectual Property

All guidebooks, written materials, images, and content provided by Restore the Story CIC are protected by copyright.
They may not be copied, shared, or reproduced without our written permission.


12. Data Protection & Privacy

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection laws. Your details will only be used for booking management and communication related to your purchase.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
