We’re excited to announce that Restore the Story CIC will be attending the 1940s Weekend at Havenstreet Steam Railway on 5th–6th July!
Join us as we bring the past to life with our VE Day exhibition stand, packed with powerful stories, memories and photos from the Island during World War II. We’ll also be showcasing other fascinating pieces of local wartime research, highlighting the island’s unique role and resilience throughout the conflict.
The event opens at 9:30am both days and offers a full vintage experience for all ages, including:
Lively 1940s music
Military & historic vehicle displays Steam train rides through the countryside
Various themed stalls
Other exhibitions diving into life during wartime
Dust off your victory rolls, don your vintage best, and step back in time for a weekend of discovery and celebration. Come say hello and learn more about our mission to preserve and share the Isle of Wight’s hidden histories.
