Restoring Isle of Wight History & Heritage

Battle of Britain History Walk

Isle of Wight Walking Festival

We’re excited to be teaming up with the Isle of Wight Walking Festival this autumn to bring you a very special guided walk across St Boniface Down – the highest point on the Island and a place steeped in history.

Join Jo and Steve on Sunday 5th October, 11:00 – 12:30, for a fascinating walk that uncovers the many layers of the Down’s past. From the battle of Bonchurch, to the vital role of RAF Ventnor during the Battle of Britain, through to Cold War defences, plane crashes, and even local UFO sightings – St Boniface Down has seen it all.

This is not just a walk, but a journey through centuries of defence, resilience, and mystery, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Island’s coastline.

Date: Sunday 5th October

Time: 11:00 – 12:30

Location: St Boniface Down
