Description

Discover the dramatic history of the Needles Old Battery on this guided tour led by Jo and Steve from Restore The Story CIC. Perched high above the iconic Needles Rocks at Alum Bay, the Old Battery is one of the Isle of Wight’s most atmospheric historic sites. Built in the 1860s as part of Britain’s coastal defence system, it later played an important role during both World Wars and offers breathtaking views across the Solent and coastline.
